    May 24, 6:00 PM @ City Hall Parking Lot

    The Salute to Summer Festival will begin with this event, honoring all of our veterans and active-duty military members and their families. This event will take place at the City’s Blue Star Memorial, which serves as a remembrance of all who have paid the ultimate sacrifice defending our country. Featured speaker Lt. Col. William C. Smith, 55th Security Forces, Offutt AFB Patriotic musical performances, ROTC demonstration & more!

  2. Salute to Summer Hot Wheels Races

    May 24, 6:00 PM @ Community Center

    Age Divisions: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 and 11-14 (Age divisions may be adjusted as needed. Kids ages 3-4 can participate in open racing while older age groups are competing.) Bring your favorite Hot Wheels, Matchbox or similar-sized car and compete against your peers for bragging rights and prizes! No car? No problem! We will provide one for you. This tournament-style event is free and participants will have the opportunity to race multiple times. Come early and test the track! Spectators welcome!

    Food. Fun. Fireworks. All free! Attend one of the biggest community events of the year! Stop outside City Hall for free food and tons of family fun.     The Salute to Summer Parade will begin at 1 p.m. at 87th Street and Park View Boulevard. The route goes straight down Park View, crossing 84th Street, and ends at 75th Street. The viewing stand will be located at Flagpole Park between 78th and Elizabeth streets.
