    Ideal for ages birth - 6. Little ones are encourage to discover, build, create, and play in a new Imagination Station Room. This creative space is set up with toys, costumes, games, etc. to help build important skills such as sharing, storytelling, emotional intelligence, critical thinking pretend play, and problem solving.

  2. Homeschool Book Club

    October 21, 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM @ La Vista Public Library

    Calling all homeschoolers! Join us each month to read and discuss some of our favorite books. Each month we will pick two books, one for ages 8-14, and the other for ages 12-18. Kids that are 12-14 can pick between the two books based on interest and reading level. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. You can pick up a copy of each month’s book, as well as a packet with discussion questions, at the circulation desk. Ages 8-14 The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelly Regan Barnhill - An epic fantasy about a young girl raised by a witch, a swamp monster, and a Perfectly Tiny Dragon, who must unlock the powerful magic buried deep inside her. Ages 12-18 The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman - Nobody Owens is a normal boy, except that he has been raised by ghosts and other denizens of the graveyard.

  3. Ghost in the House - Halloween Storybook Walk

    October 21, 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM @ Southwind Park

    Come enjoy a fun-filled walk through Southwind Park! Adult/Caregivers will read "The 13 Nights of Halloween" by Guy Visilovich as children collect small prizes (while supplies last) at each stop along the way. Put on your costumes, pack a flashlight and join us for this exciting outdoor activity. Prize bags will be provided. All ages welcome! Registration is not required.
